Services and Fees

I support children who are experiencing challenges in the following areas of speech, language and communication:

I have a special interest in working with users of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). I can support the introduction of AAC as well as developing a child's expertise in using it at all levels to communicate effectively.​​

I am happy to offer a free consultation before you commit to any paid assessment or therapy. This can be done over the telephone, via email, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or in-person, according to your preference.​

Initial Assessment

Initial assessment appointments can take place in your own home or in my clinic. Appointments last around 1 hour, during which time I will discuss your child's developmental and health history with you.

 

I will assess your child's communication, play and interaction skills by observing them playing and I will spend some time playing and interacting with them at their level. 

​

If appropriate and necessary, I may also complete some formal, standardised assessments with your child. 

​

​Following the assessment session, you will receive a written report of my observations and findings.

 

Cost: £150.00

Direct Therapy

Following assessment, I will identify your child's speech, language and communication needs and I will develop an individualised programme of therapeutic intervention to support them in achieving their goals.

​

Therapy sessions last 30-40 minutes. They can take place in my clinic, in your home or in your child's nursery or school setting (if the setting agrees to this).

​

When parents are present during the session, there is an expectation for them to actively observe my therapeutic intervention strategies as they are modelled and join in with the play activities. Active participation in the sessions will help you to support their child's developing communication at home in between sessions.

 

When children are seen in their nursery or school setting, information will be provided to their parents after the session, to explain what has been achieved and what can be done to support progress at home.

Cost: £45.00 per session

Early Years Settings and School Contracts

I am able to provide a service to local Early Years Settings and Schools, with a range of options available, including:​​​

​

  • Screening assessments

  • Universal and Targeted Early Language  interventions

  • Formal Speech and Language Therapy assessments

  • Individual therapy sessions

  • Small group therapy sessions

  • Training of Teachers, Teaching Assistants and Support Staff​

​​

Interventions can be tailored to meet the budgets of the individual session, in terms of frequency of visits and level of input provided.

Training sessions

I can offer training to Early Years and School settings on request. Sessions can be tailored to your staff's requirements and can take place at a time most convenient to you - including twilight or weekend sessions.

Examples of training sessions include:

​

  • Developing Early Communication Skills

  • Creating an Inclusive Communication Environment in your setting.

  • Using Augmentative and Alternative Communication to support children with delayed language.

  • Supporting children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) in the classroom.

All other services

Other services are available, including:

​

  • Report writing 

  • Review assessment

  • Assessment for EHCP

  • EHCAR and EHCP reports

  • Tribunal reports

  • Attendance at meetings (plus additional travel costs)

  • ​Creating individualised 6-week therapy programmes for nursery or school.​

​

Cost: £60 per hour

An estimated cost can be provided prior to the work being completed.
